Being a wedding harpist is a fantastic! As a harpist, I get to provide something unique for a couple's ceremony, and it is something that not to many people get the chance to do. With that being said, often times we get the chance to play for anniversary parties as well.
Playing for weddings is truly fun, but getting to play for a couple's 40th wedding anniversary party when they still show such love and devotion to each other, is an honor. Nothing is more moving and heartwarming to see a couple who cannot wait for the next 40 years of marriage!
For Bob and Cheryl, they celebrated their anniversary with a nice dinner and lots of guests at the Battle Creek Country Club. During the two and one-half hour event, I provided a nice mix of classical and popular music, such as "Let it Be," "Fields of Gold," "Prelude in C," "Falling Slowly," "Minuet in G," and more.
The harp can be the perfect background music for any type of party! If you would like more information about having harp music for the next event you are hosting, please visit our website Battle Creek Harpist.

Anniversary Party ~ Springfield, IL Harpist
On Friday, I was hired by the daughter-in-law of the celebrating couple to provide harp music for the party she was hosting for them on Sunday afternoon. It's never too late to call and check our availability!
In honor of their 60th anniversary, family and friends gathered in Springfield, Illinois, to enjoy a luncheon reception and have family photos taken. I played as the guests arrived and during the luncheon. The room was decorated in lavender, sage and yellow ~ the colors that they used for the original wedding. The chair sashes held a purple pansy, and the centerpieces were forsythia and other yellow spring flowers. There was even a two-tiered cake for the guests to enjoy!
When I play for anniversary parties, I always make some music selections that were popular when the couple got married. Songs such as "Earth Angel", "Blueberry Hill" and "Some Enchanted Evening" are a hit! They are familiar to the guests of honor, and well suited to the harp.
We are available to provide harp music for events throughout Springfield. Please visit our website, Springfield Harpist, for more information!

Music for an Anniversary Banquet
Most summers, I spend every weekend playing for a wedding, but on July 23rd, I got to play for the Church of God in Christ's (Indiana Second Jurisdiction) Anniversary Banquet. I played for the same event in 2008, and was glad to be back! They do a wonderful job of honoring the church's members and leadership, and everyone gets dressed up for an enjoyable dinner and reception.
Both times, it has taken place at the Halls of St. George in Schererville, Indiana. They request a variety of classical and sacred music to provide background for their gathering time and dinner hour.
